Stagnant Qi leads to depression. What is Qi (Chi)?. When we speak of Qi we mean life force. The energy that animate us. That which is breath, air, movement in us. When that gets stuck or stagnant, we have lots of consequences to how we feel and our health in general. Depression is one of the forms that results from stagnation of our life force. In chinese medicine, we try to move blood and Qi to get that life force moving and balanced in the body. Stagnation can result from emotional or physical causes and can come from internal or external sources. Shiatsu, Tui Na and acupressure move blood and Qi. Why not try a session and get your mo jo working!!

Top 10 Reasons to get a Shiatsu
Number 8
Stagnant (not moving or flowing; motionless.) Qi (vital life force) pronounced "Chee" causes pain. If your Qi stagnates from blockage due to injury or lack of volume of flow like a kinked hose with not enough water pressure, pain results. Shiatsu and asian massage techniques (acupressure) can help move Qi and blood and eliminate pain. We can help boost Qi in the body along with good food and exercise to overcome many painful symptoms. Repetitive activities such as daily computer use, manual labor and holding the same physical position for hours can result in blockage, stagnation and pain. Try a relaxing shiatsu massage and you will be pleasantly surprised at how much it helps!

Top 10 Reasons to get a Shiatsu
Number 9
Helps your golf swing, or bike ride or yoga pose, or whatever sport you love. Getting regular bodywork helps all the jobs we do and fun we have. It keeps your muscles supple and flexible. Keep your Qi flowing smoothly and everything is better. I've helped athletes who run, golf, bike, play softball, hike and those who sit at a computer all day in a stagnation marathon. Come in and try acupressure and shiatsu and see if it works for you.
